LIVING IN FAITH ASSOCIATION-COMMUNITY BASED ORGANIZATION
(LIFA CBO) 
Based in Nanyuki Town, Lentile House.



BACKGROUND INFORMATION
LIFA CBO is a Community Based Organization started in September 2003 and is fully registered. The aim of starting the CBO was to fight stigma and discrimination against PLHIV (those infected and affected) as well as offering care and support. LIFA operates in three districts namely; Laikipia East, Laikipia Central and part of Laikipia North. Currently LIFA is serving 2846 OVCs (1430 females and 1416 male) and 600 PLHIV 250 males and 350 females. The eligible population according to Children’s Office at Nanyuki district stands at 7,717 and LIFA CBO serves 2846 that is 37% of the OVCs in the district.
LIFA CBO CACC REPORT
LIFA CBO received the first tranche of two CACC Funding for HBC and PWP activities. With the funding the following trainings were the following;
1.     Planning meeting conducted on 2nd November 2011
2.     Training 30 caregivers on HBC conducted on 3rd and 4th of November
3.     Training of 30 PLHIV on Income Generatng Activities conducted on the 24th and 25th November 2011 and two dairy goats purchased for two households.
4.     Training of 25 Peer Educators on condom use and disposal on 29th December 2011.
5.     Training of 30 PLHIV on condom use and disposal on 27th and 28th January 2012.
6.     Carrying out house to house CT services on the 11th February 2012. 11 households were visited and 3 couples were tested during the outreach.
7.  A anti-stigma training of 60 people was carried out on 7th and 8th of February 2012.
